One of the National Cancer Research Network's (NCRN) key aims is to develop a clinical research workforce which supports the high quality delivery of clinical research studies. NCRN aims to help develop the level of expertise of all individuals working on the National Institute for Health Research Clinical Research Network Coordinating Centre's (NIHR CRN CC) portfolio of studies. We provide a comprehensive training programme which is offered free of charge to all staff and public and patient representatives working on or associated with the NIHR CRN CC portfolio of studies.

Workforce development initiatives One of the NIHR CRN’s long-term aims is to increase the research capacity of the NHS by developing an expert workforce to support all aspects of clinical research.
The Coordinating Centre is a consortium of the University of Leeds, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, and the Medical Research Council Clinical Trials Unit. It is funded by the National Institute for Health Research with additional support from and collaboration with the National Cancer Research Institute and Cancer Research UK. |
